Compelling topic but needs to be more objective-- hopefully there are still authority figures who don't abuse the privilege. How about, "What factors increase the likelihood that a person will abuse his/her authority?" Look for references to the Stanford Prison Experiment.
Good question! It's funny how people think that since they have power, they can do whatever they want! Reminds me of Spiderman... "With great power, comes great responsibility."
